Worked at Mitsubishi Corporation from 1980 to 2017. Engaged in biomass energy-related business development since 2000. Appointed as the representative of NEED in July 2016.

Served as an external evaluation committee member at AIST’s “New Automotive Fuel” and “Biorefinery” Research Centers (2007–2014), a committee member of METI’s “Sustainability Criteria for Biofuels” Review Committee (2008–2010), a committee member for NEDO’s “Biomass Energy Introduction Guidebook” Review Committee (2010), a committee member of the "Biomass Commercialization Review Team" organized by seven ministries (2012), and a committee member of METI’s “Second-Generation Biofuels Strategy Review Committee” (2013), among other committee roles.

Chair of the Biomass Working Group (WG), NPO Agriculture and Urban Society Conference(2016–2018).
In November 2016, co-founded the Japan Biomass Power Association（BPA）and served as Deputy Representative Director for Policy Affairs until August 2018.

Served as an advisor for Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc., Takenaka Corporation, Haseko Corporation, Kuraray Co., Ltd., Shinko Shoji Co., Ltd., Seika Corporation, Sanyo Trading Co., Ltd., Envipro Holdings Inc., and the U.S. Industrial Pellet Association (USIPA), among others.

Has delivered numerous lectures at various domestic seminars organized by government agencies such as the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), and the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ).

Additionally, has lectured at conferences hosted by institutions and research organizations such as RIKEN, the Japan Petroleum Institute, the Chemical Society of Japan, the Japan Institute of Energy, and the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI).

Furthermore, has been a speaker at events organized by universities, including the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Shinshu University, Shizuoka University, and Kyushu Institute of Technology.

Has also given presentations at international symposiums hosted by the Indonesian and Thai governments, the International Energy Agency (IEA), and CMT.
